For everyone filing a return...
Please bring all tax-related materials, including W-2's, 1099's, 1098's, and at least one form of identification. If you were not here last year, please bring last years tax return with you. If you have a document and you want to know if we need it or not for tax preparation, please contact us or just simply bring it in.

For those claiming dependents on their returns...
We need two forms of ID for each dependent you want to claim. One of those forms must provide the dependents address. Examples of ID include, driver’s license, state ID, report cards, insurance cards, medical statements, child care statements, or letters from school. We also need a copy of their birth certificate and their social security card if we do not already have it on file.

For those who went to college in 2017 or have a dependent who went to college in 2017...
We need the tax form 1098-T and any related qualifying education expense receipts. They must show amounts paid for 2017, not amounts billed. If the 1098-T only shows the amount billed, you must provide a document showing it being paid by cash, check, card, or student loans.

For those who acquired medical insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act or the Marketplace...
You should receive tax form 1095-A by January 31, 2018. We will not be able to file your return correctly without it, so please bring it in. If you have not obtained by appointment time please contact us to reschedule. Type your paragraph here.

For any other documents or other situations not listed...

If you have a document and you want to know if we need it or not for tax preparation, please contact us by email or by phone. If you can't get a hold of us in time for your appointment, please bring in what you have and we will work with you to file your return.
